CONTENT

Module 1: Part Modeling

 Introduction to mechanical Desktop, parametric Solid Modeling, Basic planes & Sketch Plane creation, Geometric Features, Work Features, Editing of Parametric Features, Creation of Split lines, Splitting of the faces and parts, Face Drafting, Creation of path, Creation of helical and spiral sweep features, suppressing and un suppressing features, creation of configuration.

Module 2: Surface Modeling

NURBS Surface Modeling, Surface types, Derived Surfaces, Surface Editing, Creation of Surfaces with Augmented lines, path and flow lines, characteristics of rational & Non – rational splines, calculation of surface area, thickness and shell volumes.

Module 3: Assembly Modeling

Concepts of Assembly modeling, Assembly Constraints, Types of Design Strategies, Placing the components in Assembly, Applying the Assembly Constraints, Modifying the parts and constraints, checking for interference, importing and exporting parts, creating exploded views, assigning materials and attributes to the part / assembly, creation of trails and tweaks.

Module 4: Drawing & Data Exchange

 Setting Drawing Standards, Creation of drawing views, Editing Drawing Views, Bi – Directional associatively, Formatting parametric & reference dimensions, creation of Annotations & hole notes, placing balloon & Bill of material, Inserting welding & surface symbols, exporting & importing Data IGES, STEP, VDAF, SAT.

DURATION

2 hours per day/ 6 days a week for 12 weeks 
                         OR
4 hours per day / 6 days a week for 6 Weeks
